Tri Star Costs have recently achieved some very good settlements for clients on a number of higher value personal injury cases.

We have highlighted just 4 of those cases by way of an example:
- Case 1
In this clinical negligence case the Claimant suffered a stroke following unnecessary surgery due to negligent treatment by the hospital providing care. The case was funded by way of a CFA with ATE insurance.
Damages were agreed at £900,000. Tri Star Costs successfully argued in favour of and were able to recover enhanced hourly rates of £350 per hour and our client received the sum of £305,000 by way of costs.
- Case 2
This was a clinical negligence case in which the Claimant was a child who had sustained a head injury after an accident in school. The Claimant unfortunately died as a result of negligent treatment at hospital. The case was originally funded by way of Legal Aid and latterly by a CFA.
Damages were agreed at £150,000. Tri Star Costs recovered enhanced hourly rates of £284.80 per hour and agreed costs at £66,000 for our client.
- Case 3
This was an RTA case in which the Claimant sustained both physical and psychological injuries following a head on collision. The case was funded by way of BTE insurance.
Damages were agreed at £380,000. Tri Star Costs were able to negotiate a settlement meaning that our client recovered the sum of £335,000 by way of costs.
- Case 4
This was a clinical negligence case in which the Defendant (NHS) failed to spot a tumour following a CT Scan. Funded by way of Legal Aid.
Damages were agreed at £20,000. Tri Star Costs recovered enhanced hourly rates and recovered costs of £120,000 for our client.
