According to Benjamin Franklin “there are only two certainties in life – death and taxes”. This month sees legal costs affected by the latter as Insurance Premium Tax (IPT), which is applied to legal expense insurance policies, increases from 6% to 9.5%.
Tri Star Costs have updated their software to ensure that all Bills drafted and any settlements negotiated after the 1st November 2015 take account of these changes, which will affect all ATE policies regardless of the date they were taken out.
